Loved my Outback. Subaru needs to make more of a performance offroad version like Ford is doing with its F150 Raptor.

![]() I like the older volvos though: Always preferred the lines of the 1800 coupe, despite my weakness for wagons.

Cut my teeth on one of these...
![]() ...no I mean quite literally cut my teeth on those fucking sharp metal corners of the metal fold up bench seats in the very back. You know, the place where my brother and I were relegated for years. Electric back window down, sucking exhaust fumes, seeing how far we could get a green plastic army man back behind the car on a kite string. ![]() We graduated to this... ![]() ...cool headlight covers that worked for about a week, same razor sharp metal interior. Now doylewife drives one of these. ![]() ,...no interior metal to speak of.

Mustang 5.0 conversion
Always wanted to have this done to my old 240 wagon.
Paul Newman supposedly had one. I did get racing sway bars and suspension parts on it from IPD. Was fun baiting people in round-abouts.

How about one of these?
![]() A buddy had one that you could watch the highway go by through the rear seat footwells. He took it four-wheeling in a meadow once, got stuck, and after I towed him out we discovered the car had actually bent downward in the middle somehow. So we positioned a log or the curb or something in the middle and jumped up and down on both bumpers simultaneously. It worked mostly.

Or this -
![]() My dad had one (a 200 turbo Quattro actually) and I loved it: good looking, lots of room, and it hauled ass. His had quite a few nicks and scratches from when he'd go get tuned & run into mailboxes & reflector posts & the like. You'd get drunk too if you were married to my stepmother...
