You may have to follow the path of the guy up in Canada restoring the Marauder. He's making all of his own patch panels from scratch and finishing the welds inside and out.

You always wanted an English Wheel and a full set of body dollies, right?

We had the 4-door sedan version of this, white top over dark green, 289-2V with Cruise-O-Matic. Nice little car. Whether he gets this or not he's not likely ever to see many more.

That's too nice to let a kid get ahold of. It won't be forgiving of stupidity, and will be expensive to fix if stupid happens to it. (Not bashing your kid specifically, just kids in general. Yours may be a saint and a perfect driver, but he goes to school with a bunch of animals.)

I found some parts cars with everything I need out in the desert, but I don't have any more room for another car. I knew it was gonna be a tough project, that's why I was able to afford the thing....it's super rusty!!

Luckily I'm not a stickler for original, I just don't care. It's my car and I'll do what I want.

Yes, I'd love to have an English wheel...already have all the dollies, trying to save my hands for riding...it hurts to pound on steel all day.

Found the back window that's missing along with a not rusty window frame. Gonna take the guy some of my Tele-Touch transmission parts and he's grabbing me the window.

When I was at Boeing, we used cycling gloves to protect our hands from most of the vibration from riveting.

We have impact absorbing gloves for running the 1" tire gun at work, they help, but my hands don't like it.

Just out of curiousity, how much would be the asking price for something like this?

Mine...

'09 Outback XT, 5sp. My 4th Subaru wagon ('85, '90, '96).

The last year of the station wagon body style, the last year of the turbo.

When Subaru announced the new body style for 2010, there was a nationwide run on the '09 5sp turbos. The new mini-SUV/crossover body style sells well, but for those that loved the classic wagon...well, the new one's not my style.

I got the last 5sp XT in the NW, and in the color I wanted...charcoal grey metallic, with nearly-black leather interior.

Just started looking at the Tesla X - not a wagon by my definition, but with the rear gull wings looks really slick.
