West Coast Canadian rider, Rick Hatswell, to Dakar in 2010

Hey everyone, I wanted to fill you in on a plan that has been years in the dreaming stages and is now finally coming to fruition. I am an amateur rider named Rick Hatswell and I am competing in the 2010 Dakar rally. In preparation for this monumental race I am competing in the 2009 Shamrock rally in Morocco this October with Team Desert Rose and then will be joining Rally Pan Am in Argentina for the big race. I thank Charlie Rauseo and the team for all of the support along the way to make this a reality.

If you are in Vancouver and need your car repaired please use Craftsman Collision. This is my family’s business for over 30 years and my father is reluctantly the biggest supporter of my delusion… I mean dream.

Do you think your dad could sponsor me too?
Craftsman collision has fixed my wife's car, (don't tell her I mentioned that she dinged up the car cuz' she'll make me sleep in the garage again).
I've had craftsman paint two of my bike's as well.
The shop in Abbotsford is highly recommended. (ask for Ray).

Isn't the "West Coast" of Canada actually Alaska?

I'll be there! It will be my first major event so it should be a doosy. Maybe I should put down this beer and hit the gym...
