Did you take your beast or smoker? By "trails" I'm guessing the smoker. Any pics?

Around the Lake Wylie area. I followed BOIKE and didn't pay attention to our location too much. But most of the trails were definitely do able on bigger bikes with good tires. I only remember one maybe two water crossings that would be pretty hairy on something bigger.

Took the two stroke KDX. However, BOIKE was on his XR650L and I was having a hard time keeping up with him often. Almost everything we rode we could do on the 800s and good riders on 1200s could do. I think there were only two trails that would have been challenging. Not many pics since we road pretty constant and my GOPRO died last week.

Here is the one I did get when we took a short break. (BOIKE, my tag is missing in this picture, so must have come off early in the riding... probably on the road with the vibration.)

Ha, that thing wasn't a puddle, it was a pond. And I definitely nominate you to lead a big bike ride soon when it is drier. Carolina Adventure World was fun. I ended up meeting up with a group of riders and following them later in the day on about 15 miles. Mud wasn't too bad except in low lying areas and deep ruts. Only got stuck twice!

Ok, sounds great. I would love to do a big bike ride on your local trails as well as a short trip up to the mountains. I got a rental house to get squared away and trying to get a little more prep in for the Steele Creek HS in Morganton next weekend. I am also getting ready to pull the front end off the GS and doing the Shiver Fork Conversion, just waiting on my Husky donor forks to show up.

XCRider803, are you free any days this coming week?

XPEDITIONREADY, are you off all next week?

Worst case, we plan it for a few weeks out.

The weather is starting to get nice!

Finally getting warmer! My situation sux right now as far as riding time. One of our guys left in the Nashville Office so I'm the fill in/trainer for the new person. I was there last week, will be there the week of the 1st and the week of the 8th. I leave Sundays and drive home Fridays and both this and next weekend are planned out.

Probably more than you wanted to know... Anyway looks like from the 13th on I'm good. I can do weekdays if I have a few days notice too, I have extra vacation days not planned for anything this year.

13th or 14th, or 13th AND 14th both will work for me.

Hey kids - looking for a quick trip? I brought this tag close to our neck of the woods - plenty of close places to grab the next one (tag rules are a but more involved on this one).

This was a great way to finish breaking in my bike...isn't there a Tiger and a DR both in need of some mileage?

Switzerland Area

Not sure how many of you make it up to the Little Switzerland area to ride but I was up there today and one of my favorites 226a has been tar snaked! Bummer, still plenty of other good roads that way.
