thursday ride to texas

ya'll bring everything with you, If we leave right after the meet and eat it would work out great as we could get thru atlanta and birmingham before rush hour on friday. we can eat briskitt friday evening for dinner.in ft worth and be back in charlotte in time to meet at the I hop for breakfast saturday morning. If you don't waste too much time eatin in ft worth you can get back over into miss. and have enough miles for a 1500 in 24hrs on the way back. I need a new one anyway, this one's gittin worn out and hard to read.

That's good to hear. I was thinking the same thing Jon was thinking...

Yeah, that's too hardcore for me.

I was wondering how many miles in I would have to stop after a good nights rest...

I'm headed to Maryland for the weekend -- leaving after work on Friday -- so I can't go this weekend. But I'm up for doing it on a Saturday/Sunday in the near future.

When are you planning on sleeping or are you going to shotgun Red Bulls at gas stops?

Haven't heard from you in a while, Adam. You should stop by Hawthorne's and/or come out for a ride and fill us in on your progress at law school.

Sunday's Ride

Here's a short video (approx. 2.5 minutes) from Sunday's ride featuring some sweet V-twin 'music'.

Here's the rain-shortened route we followed:

Here's a link to the photos from a SS1000 I did a few years ago. No special gear or setup, just two bikes and two friends going for a ride.

I'd be up for a BB 1500 Gold attempt with my Ulysses, but it would have to be a weekend. Early Saturday morning departure, Sunday for recovery.

I'll see you all Thursday night. I can't make the meet ups in the summer (running club meets that night) but I'll be there this week, probably riding the Uly since I'll be coming from work.

I'm going to try and swing by. I have a meeting at 6:30 but I might get there early for a pre-bs beer.

Hey guys. Just wanted to mention that I will be at Hawthorne's tonight. Looking forward to meeting some other riders in the area.
I'll be on my Blue FJR.

Hope to see you there.

According to my Facebook friends - look for the illegitimate child of the Black Stig and Master Chief riding the yellow TIE fighter. I'll be there.
