You can do a cross dissolve with the video editing software that I use, as I'm guessing you can with most all video editing software.

Was trying to keep this tight, on pace with the soundtrack and show the whole ride in a short timeframe.

Dissolving from frame-to-frame would require a greatly increased duration for each frame -- so that it would have enough time for the dissolve to work. It would probably result in a video 4 or 5 times as long.

I considered attending this event, but changed my mind when I noticed that the rally flyer was typeset using the papyrus font.

Any chance this rally is held on its island namesake? If so, I may have to re-consider.

It was a popular rally up until last year year when the owner of the campsite divorced and moved. The organizer also moved away leaving this rally to continue more or less in the hands of a few.

You can search the last one which took place on Oct 18th to 20th. I had to travel and could not attend but I understand that it was a much smaller crowd but everyone still had lots of fun. I always enjoyed DS riding up in the Tellico's and visiting Mike at Tellico Outfitters.

DS Ride on Monday??

I have the day off on Monday (Veterans Day) and I'd like to do some trail riding.
I'll hit CAW if nobody steps up to lead a ride. My preference is for more off-road than on-road. I can truck my bike to a starting point pretty much anywhere within an hour or so of Charlotte.
Anyone else looking to ride on Monday?

I signed up for the Broxton Bridge (SC) DS ride in January, so I really need to get in some rides before then to get used to the terrain - I know it will be very different from the desert riding that I am used to doing.

You aren't kidding about the terrain. I moved here from West Texas with my KX450. First time I took it in the woods I think I bounced off every tree along the trail Get used to sliding around everywhere! Wish I was free to ride on Monday...

Yes, his videos are TOO good. I'm currently posting in little ninja forums trying to get rid of my '04 250 with problems and and simultaneously looking for some little used DB that I can replace it with.

What's wrong with the 250?

Been thinking about picking up another one of those for my wife - had one years ago - shouldn't have sold it...

More problems than you want to deal with, unless you want a project bike. I think I got it too hot during a interstate run and after I got home and shut it down it seized up.

oh that's a bummer! Well the good news is you can find parts for those dirt cheap if you look long enough. I've seen complete running bikes with low miles go for $700 or less (with the requisite trashed fairings, of course).

perhaps comic sans would be better?

or you could always roll in with this bumper sticker on your top box:

I can see it now: Beers are dropped, laughter trails off into silence, and everyone stares at the intrepid v-strom rider who dared show up with a distaste for Papyrus.
