Given the signage, I would have been surprised if you did.

Also, I will second Numa's comments on Carolina Adventure Cycles - I had them do some work on my Ducati and I will use them again in the future for sure.

I was just riding along enjoying the seclusion of Dogwalla Road and came across that sign. Finding it curious, I felt compelled to take a picture -- but must confess to feeling a little creeped-out while sitting there long enough to dig out my camera and snap the photo.

I'm guessing it wouldn't be a good place to breakdown on a Triumph Tiger.

Visiting

Hi Gents,

I'm new to ADVRider and new to adventure riding so I'm excited to see how this community works. I'll be visiting the Queen City early March from out west and was hoping to find a place to rent a bike for day and explore your area. Any ideas on who I should call?

Contact Carolina Adventure Cycles for rental bikes. The use Kawasaki Versys bikes.

Welcome! Another vote for Carolina Adventure Cycle, haven't used them myself but they have a good reputation around here. They can also point you in the right direction in your travels. If you're around on the 3rd Thursday in March you're welcome to come to our meet up. Tell tall tails and feats of heroics, in other words lie like the rest of us.

I rented a Versys from Carolina Adventure Cycles last summer for a trip with my son along the NC-TN border. (The details can be viewed at Eighteen Years in the Making.) Excellent customer service from Dean (one of the owners) and the bike was in very good condition. Dean and his partner Jeff are also good sources for tips on places to ride in the area.

Post up your arrival and departure dates when you'll be in town and one or more of the local group may be available for a ride while you're here.

I just stopped by Carolina adventure cycles today and spoke with Jeff, he mentioned that they are getting out of the rental business so I'm not sure if this is going to be a viable option for you when you make a trip here.

HaHaHaHa! Good one! No, really, sounds like it could happen(with an eye on the weather). Also, Sandblast Rally march 1st Saturday is a good time to ride around and watch some of the stages. I went two years ago (saw Joe there) and enjoyed it.
