I bought my last helmet from Competition Accessories in Rock Hill. They had the largest selection of helmets I have seen in the area. Also had great prices when I bought mine because the majority of their business is online instead of retail so have to keep competitive prices.

Pretty sure that's the one I was thinking of.

There are several places for gear locally.

Compatition Assessories down in Rock Hill has lots of stuff. The are a Web retailer but their warehouse and showroom are in Rock Hill. http://www.compacc.com/
3049 Southcross Blvd, Suite 105 Rock Hill, SC 29730

Cycle Gear on Independence has lots of items. They also have a shop in Gastonia.
11328 'b' East Independence Blvd, Matthews (ch), NC

I have also seen a large helmet selection at the Honda/Yamaha/Suzuki/Kawasaki shop on Freedom Dr.

Thanks much for the replies, that's a huge help instead of me running dealer to dealer trying to find what I want
The group buy on the Neotec is a really good price, & very tempting, I hate to buy another w out trying it on though

Great time

Enjoy.....I sure did!

Yep, Sunday was a great ride, great group, and too much food apparently.

ALL-remember that rally in September if you want to go I already have a cabin so let me know.

Also, I am looking for some ultra inexpensive ways to pack stuff on my bike without buying 1000 bucks worth of stuff that is going to get muddy and ripped up anyway.....mainly just for tools and tubes etc.

Thanks

Yep - Competition Accessories in Rock Hill. Great selection and great prices.

JMforPres (Jon) and I are back from Buffalo / Niagara Falls. Here's a couple of pics:

We made it to the Anchor Bar, where Buffalo Chicken Wings were "invented"...

Once in Niagara Falls on the Canadian side (yes they actually let us into Canada), getting a pic of the bikes with the Falls in the background was pretty tough. Here's one of both bikes with the American Falls as a partial backdrop...

There's a bit of a story behind this picture - here's my RT on the sidewalk at the top of the Inclined Railway with the Horseshoe falls visible in the background...

Nice! Love the wings at Anchor Bar. Did you try a Beef on Weck? Now I'm getting really hungry!

Let me guess, you had to ride it up some stairs to get that shot?

Thanks for the kind words about Competition Accessories guys! I have been working here for a little over a year now, and can tell you that they are a great bunch of people inside and out. If I can answer any gear questions feel free to send me a PM.

Hopefully I can make it out for one of these dinner rides sometime soon!

Who knows a Sandblaster?

I feel like we did little more than eat on that trip, but sadly did not get to the Beef on Weck. We can go back once you buy a new bike!

On another note, I just purchased a utility trailer to mount my Condor on and haul one or the other of my bikes around as needed. I went with a used one because I found a 5' by 10' that has a 2' dovetail (a bit unusual, and very practical) and because I needed a project.

I'm going to remove the decking boards, have the frame sandblasted, paint it and put down new pressure treated 2" by 8"s, add an aluminum toolbox on the tongue for holding tie-downs, etc.

So..... does anybody know somebody who does sandblasting?

Nothing quite that dramatic! But if I had been on my DR I could have gotten some amazing pics..

C'mon over! And bring that ZRX. I used to have one (in the faster green color, of course).

Will do. Thanks for the referral - I got a lead on someone right around the corner from my shop, but since Hotbox does powdercoating too.....Mmmm. A powdercoated trailer might be nice.... I'll give them a call.
