Mount Rushmore.

These Pigtail Bridges are used to reduce elevation -- as opposed to switchbacks -- in Custer Park. You ride through the tunnel, cross a bridge and then loop 360 degrees around down under the bridge you just crossed. Very cool!

Keep them coming! - I love the mountain landscapes. I've rock/ice climbed in most of those areas (WY, SD, CO, UT). You've got my gears spinning for a destination ride with a nice mountaineering summit to cap off the trip!

Climbing gear makes for a hefty load though... whats the practical limits on cargo load? Anyone have rule of thumb?

I sure would love to but I've got family in from out of town through that weekend for the holidays. Probably wouldn't go over very well if I disappeared for the day....

When I was growing up as a kid, there were lots of tobacco farms in Southern Maryland. Many of the tobacco barns used to air cure tobacco are still standing, but many are in a declining state these days.

There is even an area by where I used to live that's called Port Tobacco. Ships from England came into this harbor to load tobacco purchased from Southern Maryland Indian tribes. Here is the one-room school house located in Port Tobacco.

Lots of water in Southern Maryland -- the Potomac River, Wicomico River, Patuxent River, the Chesapeake Bay and many small tributaries border land masses in Southern Maryland, home of the best oysters and blue crabs on the planet.

I had this 1984 BMW R100RT when I purchased my V-Strom in 2006. Once I got the V-Strom completely accessorized, I was spending all of my time riding it, so I put the R100RT up for sale. I have no regrets in taking the V-Strom as my life partner, but I should have kept the R100RT as my temperamental, but passionate mistress. I do miss her.

How do I increase the size of my pics. Uploaded from PhotoBucket. Have been working on this for some time now and I dont have much hair left to pull out.

It took me a while playing around with it to come up with something that worked for me. (JoeyBones can attest to that fact.) I have been opening my original images in Photoshop and then using the crop tool to 'crop' them to size 768 pixels x 576 pixels for landscape photos (576x768 for portrait). I then save them to JPEG format low (3 in Photoshop) and upload them to IMGUR. From there, I cut and paste the forums format URL into my AdvRider post.
