What about using more leather??

I'd complement the rest of the look, and give things a bit of a 'bumper' to cushion the ride.

NestorK, I'm a big fan of folded horn speakers. Never had one, but have listened and loved. Klipschorns, Speakerlab K's, etc. Any model/ name to yours?

It's called a Tuba Home Theater. Mine was the "low profile" version, chosen because I could max out the dimensions for low frequency extension and still get it through my door.

Plans are concise and designed for those with minimal carpentry skills.

Sure, I understand that. But it's you they can't afford, you know? Great work.

Yacht self steering

I made a wind-vane self steering from scrap metal, Scrap fiberglass, new plywood and epoxy. It steered for thousands of miles over several years.

I always thought a wind-vane made a yacht look like an adventure.

I sailed alone from Britain to Senegal and Gambia, then back. The wind-vane let me sit in the companionway and play guitar even when storming along in fresh winds. Flippin' wonderful.

I recently sold Storm Petrel and bought a BMW R65 instead.

The vane moves the trim tab via the cables? Great idea!

Prosthetic Golf Attachment

My dad is an avid 1 armed golfer who wanted a prosthetic to play with. After seeing they are $800 online, I opted to build one for him.

Some Lathe, Milling, TIG and Plasti-Cote.

First prototype using tapered slugs welded into the tube since I don't have a boring bar that big.

Ver 2 used a cam system to lock clubs in rather than tapered slugs. I turned the cam with an offset on the lathe.
