Death Valley March Madness nOObs Ride 2010

EDITED

IT WILL BE IN PANAMINT SPRINGS RESORT CAMPGROUNDS ON MARCH 26, 27 & 28, 2010....

Last march, and the year before that, we called it "nOObs Full Moon" ride, but the mOOn wasn't there to cooperate. And this November, the nOObs didn't get to play in DV . The 3rd DV nOObs rALLy didn't happen.

I think "DV March Madness nOObs Ride" is easier to remember for us nOObs and WE WANT TO PLAY!...

Daylight savings end on March 15th, we get an extra hour of daylight to settle in our camps or give you more time to fix your bike and return to camp (ask joefromsf, a.vern and galacticgs.... , and you can read it in the 2009 rr) Also, most likely, the snow has melted by then and the moist dirt will keep the dust away.

possibility there will be breakdowns. we will help you, but if it's due to lack of maintenance such as worn out chains or brake pads, old clutch cable, rotted hose, lack of valve adjustment, better just stay home or don't venture away from the camp. bring spare tubes, cables, chain links, tools, water, food, etc. bike must have enough gas. if your bike sputtering at the start of the ride, please turn around and head back to the camp.

i suggest before we take off, each one will have a ride buddy. you look after each other. the whole group should not wait for 1 rider, and ruin their weekend. you and your buddy will just have to catch up. a few hours after the group reached camp, still no sign of you, we will organize a search group. a spot will be nice to have.

there will be a few who will go on their own rides...you guys are on you own.

all the adv reserved sites are now full. we have room for motorcycle campers.

Third times the charm, I'm in and I will even bring a noob with this time. Stick that poor bastard on the 625.....

My vote is for Panamint just due to it proximinty to good riding and lack of touristy RV stuff like StovePipe and Furnace Creek.

Just my .02

Gonna plan on making it down! Can't think of many things better than DV with a bunch of great FF's

The weekend of March 19 sounds good to me. I'm out of pocket earlier in March, so the timing should be just right.

Cheers...

As far as campsite we would like to think of Panamint Springs. Other suggested Warm Springs. The beauty of PS, it's closer to get to coming from socal, have gas, restaurant, and motel across the street. It's also a central location if you want to explore Hunter Mountain, Saline Valley, Cerro Gordo, Ballarat, Cerro Gordo, South Park, Pleasant Canyon, and really it's limitless.

Meanwhile, Warm Springs has lots of nekkid wimin or men which ever your inclination is; and next to Steele Pass to challenge us nOObs.....

Please post your suggestions.......
