when i was 17(1974) i raced an xl250 in motocross ,i used to get trophies against the cz's, huskies and bultacos with that beast

Yup. He will get tons of offers from the UK and Japan.

I am not up on Japan's currency right now, but I can tell you when I was at Mid-Ohio a few years ago, there were Japanese buyers with big trucks\trailers walking around the swap meet area paying cash-asking-price on 1 to 2 dozen bikes at a go - With the Z1 being one of the most popular models. From what I was told, the rate was so good converting to USD, and the rarity\price so high in Japan that the bikes were an absolute bargain, even after shipping.

I've also talked a lot with the guy who runs z1enterprises, and have a friend who spent some time with folks involved in the export of Japaneese bikes back to Japan, and importing of parts from Japan; specifically for the CB750 and Z1, there is a huge international trade going on.
