What's not ok is that thing isn't in my garage! It's a bitchin' bike and I wouldn't worry about the driveline angle too much. Throw a new u-joint in it every couple of years (after having Peterman modify the driveline for replaceable joints), and ride it!

Gives me sick ideas for my '81 R100RT(S)...

It'll flatten out when you take it off some sweet jumps

looks just like,,,,YOU!

I had a boner to trick out the airhead GS I have, somewhat along those same ideas,,but I ran up against the costs per item of what I want to do,,and I think I'll never get there, unless I win a lottery of course,,
NAW,,ain't probbly gonna work,,I should sell the GS, and just stick with the KLR as my mainstay,,or "most important rope on the boat", for non maritime talk type folks,,ie; normal people,,airheads are so much fun to ride tho,,,!

Miguel and I had this conversation earlier today. Airheads and old VW's share a common bond. It takes a certain type of personality to appreciate them. Once they get in your soul your hooked for life. I say VW's are like VD.....once you get a good one, it's hard to get rid of.

Four years ago I purged all things VW from my life.....Saturday Monkeywife decided she was tired of hearing me get all nostalgic everytime we went to the dunes. She let me drag another one home. Add that to the two Airheads and the Ural here...I think I'm hooked.
