2011 Suzuki TU250X, 840 miles, 75 mpg, $2,200 or obo (Seattle)

http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/mcy/4110429043.html

Specs:
http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/26385/...uki-TU250.aspx

Cafe racer style. Fun and easy to ride, easy to maintain and inexpensive to insure. This is the bike for riding around town and for commuting, considering its excellent fuel efficiency. You will save a lot of money on gas.

It's also a great beginner's bike. Light weight and comfortable with low seat. It's, in fact, my starter bike. I'm the 2nd owner of this bike. It was purchased from the Suzuki dealer in 2012. The bike has some cosmetic damages from the previous ownership but otherwise in great condition. It was inspected by the dealer and has had the 1st service.

I bought another bike and can't justify keeping both. In the end, I decided to part with the Suzuki. Will throw in an almost-new Dowco tail bag that retails for over $120 if you purchase the bike. Contact me at 206-452-9718.

Yup, scammer. Same ad/pics in Eugene. The *s & the Seattle in the subject line (well, plus the cheap ass price) flag it for me. They put the city in their titles so they know which one to repost

How do those scams work? Are they expecting someone to be dumb enough to send them money sight unseen? What do they do if someone actually tries to arrange to see the bike?

Yes, if they can find a fish to bite they'd probably take your money sight unseen. Many times it is just to harvest email addresses or phone numbers for spam/solicitor lists. Don't ever reply to one of these obvious CL scam ads. Even to tell the guy off, etc.

Thanks, I've always wondered what they were actually trying to accomplish... never tried contacting one though, and won't!

Lesson learned. I knew that had to be too good to be true. Now I know what to watch for. Thanks for the tips and sorry to have pushed spam/scam along.

My dad has a Futura.
Very fun bike bike to ride! He's had it for years and loves it.
