I'll be there. I'll be leaving the Royal Farms in Smyrna at 7:15 if you want to ride up Tom.

You know how we like to live on the edge.

It got a little worse as I rode North, so Tomc made an executive decision to head South.
So off to Twinny's and the Delmar tag is was.

Elkton Royal Farm Store

Twinny's

And the Delmar Tag spot outside of Denton, MD

Only bout 150mi. for me but more than I thought I would get when I first looked outside this morning.

Pleasure riding with you Tom. Now if we can just snag a few more DDB's for the next adventure.

Yes it was a foggy but fun ride.

Who says everything is better with BACON?
They had a bit of it at Twinnys.

...but it can't be all bacon all the time (or can it?) - in any case, I dropped the Delmar Tag at Helens:

Stopped at the Smyrna Royal Farms for a coffee, met some cruiser riders who told me that Rt 9 was impassable because of high water: I took this as a personal challenge to the GORE-TEX guy:

That was the deepest water I've ridden through! The water flew up and over the windshield - the whole bike was soaked, as was the outside of my KLIM gear - but inside I stayed dry thanks to you know what....
The water was dirty and salty, so the Tiger - and myself - got hosed off when I got home. It's probably not good to ride through two foot deep salt water on your bike....

Just the opposite on this side of the bay. Todd34 and I left Edgewater about 7:30 with probably 1 mile visibility. Got foggier as we went south.

This is crossing the Potomac on US-301.

A little better in Marshall, VA at 2:30.

All the eastern and northern riders had that shit all the way there and back.
Forcast 73 and mostly cloudy. Actual... 60 and thick fog all day.

Good times though!!!

Wow! Sorry I missed that one Jack. Great turn out.

And good luck to ORexpat....I'm really kinda envious of all these guys heading out West.

Any other DDBs interested in this training? I'd like to go.

Berkshire Big Adventure - May 18-19, 2013

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=854192

I took the KLR up to this event last year and had a great time - my first dual sport riding event! It was before I met all you DB's. I'm thinking about putting the KLR on the back on the truck again and riding this again - it's a two day event this year. A good buddy of mine lives 10 minutes from the start so it's a good excuse to visit him - he sold me my very first motorcycle! (67 Honda S90).

Those dates in May are the same as Rick's RDV in Tenn. Enjoy though!
I may be down to take the EMS class, gotta get closer to the date to be sure.

Hey O2, did your friend ever find their Greyhound in MD?

Not sure, I did not know the people, There is kind of a network thing in the Greythound community so when I see stuff like that I post up where I think it might help.
