Hey there guys. I live in Upstate NY near Albany. I have a new bike that I'm chomping at the bit to ride. I just can't wait for these salty roads to clear. How are things down your way? I'm thinking about trucking down to somewhere near Dover the second or third weekend in March to ride for a couple of days. Can someone suggest an area to ride that's better than others down your way?

Thanks in advance;
Tony

Possibly!

Might even give you the chance to return the favor this summer if I make the trip to Schenectady I have planned.

Hey there Tony, I think you will find some DDB's that would be happy to ride with you! It is kind of flat in Delaware but still we can probably find some good roads for you to ride. I'm originally from NY (Yonkers), and I still have family North of there in Westchester/Putnam, and I've taken my KLR up your way and found fellow ADV'ers who have shown me some awesome roads up in your neck of the woods. I'd be happy to return the favor. PM me and we wll figure something out.

As much as I'd like to, I can't can't stay for the after RTE fun.
Wayne, I am always willing to follow wherever you go. Hopefully other Tom will be able to make it as well.

Looks like the poor pup just came off a trip to the vet. The shaved front leg is typical of either an IV or blood work. Unfortunately, I have one that thinks she can eat anything and everything. She's had a few of those shaved legs as well.

And it's pretty much the only way over most of the rivers.

But.....

When you get to Galena, instead of making a right on 213, go straight through the light onto 313.

Then go right on 290/Centreville Rd. When you get to 291, 290 goes right with 291 and then 290 goes left to Crumpton.

Cross the river and make a right just past the Crumpton Post Office onto 4th Street.

When you get to 544, go straight across. you are now on Pine Tree Rd.

When you get to the end of Pine Tree Rd, go right on Pondtown Rd.

At the intersection of Pondtown Rd & John Powel Rd, go straight. You are now on Pinder Hill Rd.

Pinder Hill Rd ends at 19. You're at the town of Church Hill.

Go left on 19 and almost immediately go right on 300.

Then go left on 213.

Just on the other side of Centreville, go right on 18.

Stay on 18 to just north of Queenstown.

You'll go around a left turn, 18 goes to the right into Queenstown. If you stay straight, I think the road is now Greenspring Rd, you'll see 301.

Go right on 301. Slab time.

Going that way from Galena to Church Hill shaves off the big loop in 213 and you don't have go through Chestertown.

It probably took longer to type all that out then it does to ride it.

18 is a really nice road and keeps you off 301 a while longer.

After you get past Annapolis, you want to take the Riva Rd exit. It's immediately past the I-97 exit.

After you cross over 50 stay to the right and turn right at the bottom of the hill onto Riva Rd.

tomc has been to the shop before and I think he is coming to the shop Saturday too. I wouldn't be surprised if he chimes in here directly about hooking up with you 2 near Elkton. ctom also.

Damn, my fingers are tired.

My eyes are tired from reading Wayne's message....

But he is right, I was planning on heading down his way on the way to MrMaryP's.

So - who is heading down from DDBland, and when and where are we to meet? Galena is probably better meeting spot than Chesapeake City as we are heading South.

We should plan to plan to arrive at Wayne's around 10:30 - ish. I got Wayne's place programmed into my fancy navigation thingy.
