Damn, that love affair didn't last long.

And on another note: Great having breakfast with you PA guys (+ Tomc). And the ride towards the bridge was fun too...except that part on a dirt road where we almost got taken out by a piece of farm equipment.

Yup, that double wide tractor almost took beantop out. His GS is a wide load.
It never quite warmed up for yesterday's ride to Leonardville, but the ride to eat was fun, great food and companions, and then some of us crashed at Scott and Mary's - no camping took place, so Mary has named our weekend "Camp Puss".

More report and pics on the SMIB thread. Great to meet MrMaryP's wife, she is definitely the better half.

Man, that heated gear is the S**T!
I said this to Goosecreek yesterday during the ride when we rolled up to a stop light. He looked warm to me, but I was mistaken, he was COLD, so I'm glad that the light turned before he could reply or I might have heard some new curse words from my cold friend. Sorry Goose!
The ride home today was cold as well. There was a bit of sun in the morning before we left for home, but as kickstands were raised the sun was gone and there were even a few flakes of snow.
Good to see you guys this weekend.

WORD!

It's funny, when people that say they don't really need it finally get it, they always say they should of got it sooner.

At the RTE motomandan said he had ridden about 400,000 miles over the years. He said he had just got heated gear this year and wished he had gotten it about 399,000 miles ago.

From your pics it looks like you guys had a good (and cold) time. It was probably a good move turning the camp out into a camp inn even though those PA boys don't even use a tent in this kind of weather.

Glad to see Scotty is a responsible fire tender; using a leaf-blower instead of a gallon of gas to stimulate the fire.

Oh he started with kerosene - it wasn't progressing fast enough so he had to supercharge things.

I F'ed up my knee at Scotty's kicking leaves away from that fire circle. Nobody's fault but my own age I guess. I thought that I had blown my ACL. Doc says I only irritated my bursar sac, no real damage done. But it hurt like hell for a day. Today I can get around much better, so I am icing my knee and my bourbon this evening.

Glad to hear the leg is not that bad Tom I guess putting the heat on it all the way home really help.

I am going to grab a bottle of Bushmills before the snow, I think I liked that stuff

Wait until the ones that are in your shoulders start to hurt you. The higher you try to raise your arm or the more weight you try to lift, the more it hurts.

Taking a low dose of Prednisone three times a week for the last year is the only reason I can still use my arms. Doc said I'm one of the very few people with that problem Prednisone seems to help.
