Awesome ride home from work today!
Picked up the DE TOR on the way to work, took the long way home to make a drop. Along the way I re-lived some previous rides with fellow inmates. Turned the 8 mile ride home into a 60+ mile adventure!
First: the grab:

Headed over the Chesapeake City bridge, paid a visit to CTom's favorite breakfast spot, the Bohemia Cafe - closed

Picked up the South side of the Canal for a bit:

Here's where Gary and I got stuck in the mud a few weeks back:

With a couple of weeks to dry, the trails were slightly less difficult to traverse. So I got through today where Gary and I were forced to retreat.

News flash - that road is a dead end! I had to pick my way back through! This took some time:

Off the canal:

Back through the mud and down to the easy stuff along the canal, I made it to the spot where I first met you meatheads a litte less than a year ago:

Made the drop in Port Penn:

With a hint:

Got caught at the light on the Reedy Point Bridge:

Getting kind of late!

On the North side:

...then took some of the higher roads, which were kind of snotty, so I came back and lo, another barge on the canal:

...was it EazeDrop and I who got stuck beneath that bridge last Summer during a thunderstorm? Where is he hiding?

Home now:

Awesome ride home! Thanks for all the great memories guys.

I've just bought a bottle of Hendrick's and I like it. Hendrick's, tonic and a dash of bitters. The Antihero special.

Remember, If you shake it (not stir) careful not to bruise the gin/vodka.

Gin - in my mind it has to be gin to be a martini - but to each his or her own.
Tonight's was Tangueray, but Hendricks, Bombay, Beefeaters, Plymouths also good.
Vermouth - not too much
Bitters - blood orange is good
Olives - two. Not dirty, just the olives, no juice
Mix in shaker, add lots of ice, do not shake. only stir - for a good minute. Nice and cold, but with no ice floaters
strain into a well chilled martini glass - Ah!
Of course I wouldn't turn down a Gin and Tonic either, and I'm with you Todd, Bombay Sapphire is the ticket there.

I really enjoyed the solitary riding today, being able to go at my own pace, especially as I picked through the mud holes. Also enjoyed being able to stop whenever I pleased to take a picture.

Still, sharing a ride with you guys is also a blast. Looks like chances of snow tomorrow, glad I got that ride in today!

Wtf I hit send by accident.
Anyhow, thanks for the picsTom, I sure miss the canal!
Today I had the privilege of taking care of a 3 and 4 year old with the flu/ virus.
Got some exercise running from one bathroom to the other all day. If one wasn't puking he had the shits....oh sorry, you think that's gross TMI?
Fuck off!
You weren't the one hugging them on the toilet...*cry, cry* "I need a hug my belly hurts"
Can't get to the bar to cry on the bartenders shoulder so you guys get it.
Thanks for listening.

Your Daddy must have known what he was doing! I read that Italian Supermodel thread by Antihero and he mentioned it so I gave it a go. Tried it at a bar first and it wasn't too bad so I picked up a bottle. I'll have to give it a go as a Martini as well.
