Yeah I've got to get my riding in the AM most days.

Port Mahon

Not a lot of paved road left out here

Still a good place to check out some nature

We will be in our RV at old millstream campground ..

It looks like I'm going to ride up to Carlisle bike fest on Friday. Weather looks hot.. If anyone wants to take a sick day and join me, let me know. We can meet at the exxon on 896 - shops of london britan - 1551 New London Rd.

My current plan (all subject to change)

leave 6:30/7
Meet my BIL at the midway diner (just west of Cabellas on 81) around 9

Route -> 896,10,345,662,143 or if I'm late 10,422,61

EAT a Good Hot PA Diner Breakfast

Hamfisted run west to the Carlisle

probably have some food in the fairgounds.

Leave Carlisle 3/4/5 ish
Eat a burger somewhere

Return via the south west route. 74 / 372 / 272 - suggestions?

Are there any good roads around here, preferably with less traffic?
Much more of this hospital lobby, and they'll have to admit me to the looney wing.

Yes there are better roads that rt 4 and 95 :)

How much longer do you expect to be in the area?

PM sent - let us know what we can do to help, Luke - you are far from home and can use some support from the locals.

Yesterday's 368 mile ride to Chincoteage was fun but man I was exhausted at the end of a 12+ hour day. It was nice to take a shorter ride this evening with my son to practice some low speed stuff prior to his upcoming road test and just ride around on some familiar fun roads.

The best stuff for impact is the gear that you attach to your body.
The best stuff for abrasion resistance is leather. Though a good ballistic textile does the trick.
Then boots.
Then gloves.

Do it. This is the most dangerous time for a new rider. You are exponentially more likely to go down in your first year or two than you are for the rest of your riding life.

I don't care if you're a man or a woman....

BUT I have to say that women look really GREAT ATGATT

C.T.H., What the others have said .

If you don't want to go the way of the Power Ranger, there are Kevlar options.

With or without pads and what-nots.
