View Rowher Flats in a larger map

This is Buffer Loop. Click on view Rowher Flats to get a reference of where it's at. The rangers just graded it, so it needs to be ridden to pack it in they also extended it quite a bit by grading parts that hadn't been maintained in years.

i can vouch for how lucky that FF Lost Rider is. yes, Nancy is super rad. she's got balls but is a total girlie girl (which is good) and is funny and sweet.
yes, Finn, let's ride. get her skillz up to speed.
a Suzuki DR200, like the one triplebiscuit has, would be perfect.

Clutch fixed...I'll be out there sometime tomorrow to cruise the roads and green trails only. Not sure what time i'll be there, but you'll see the big dude on the 625 orange machine with a clear IMS tank.

Razr,
I've been on this forum for over a year now and only time I see you on your bike was at WMRS ride. All other times your bike is at Javier's.
Just saying...

I'll be attending church this morning. I should be arriving at sanctuary 1 around 10 am for the later service.

during WMRS my bike's tranny went kaput.

since then he's had it more than i've had it. it's not the bike. all my other buddies with EXC's ride strong. mine rode strong before the rebuild. dunno what gives.

Good Ride Today

Rode into Rowher today via Sierra Hwy to Staging 1. Lots of people, lots of trucks. Got there around 10:30 or so. Looked for The RFBK folks but with so many people and most of the trucks parked with nobody around, I decided to go solo. Looked for Purlick and his white truck, but there were like 4 white trucks! Listened for Schmo's smoker, but didn't hear it. it's fine though...I'm sure you guys would get bored put-putting around w me.

Rode over to the other staging areas and just did some practice on those easy loops over there. Man...what a great place to practice dirt riding!! I actually leaned my 625 pig over a little bit from time to time and actually got the wheels off the ground by a few millimeters. What a blast! Practicing at my own pace!

Then I went back to staging 1 and then up the truck trail (with more confidence than usual). Ran into a big group up there and watched some guys do that one hill climb...not sure what that one is named, but man.. they were hauling ass up that trail! Scared the shit out of me!
I just stayed on the truck trail all the way past the reservoir viewing area and then found another road that went down to Boquet Cyn rd (I think it is Artesian Springs road. That's a really nice road up at the top. Great scenery, trees, and real easy, soft dirt for the most part.
Hopped back on Bouquet and slabbed all the way back into Valencia. Changed out of my gear and into some jeans and t-shirt and rode into work. Gotta get some shit done before tomorrow.

Sorry I missed you guys out there today, but I probably would have just slowed you down anyway. I think I was on the buffer loop, but still not sure...probably not as I would have seen the sign. Next time!

I'm so fing stoked that such a great place to practice dirt riding is so close to home! Can't stop grinning
