great ride today !!!

on the trail at 7AM. done at 11AM. home by noon.

by 11, temps were probably already 80+ degrees.


might make it up there later this week.

Timmy, i was riding Rowher. you know, hillclimbs, singletrack, couple thousand feet in elevation change.......not some desert powerline road.

i don't have a thermometer on my bike, so it was a guesstimate.

EDIT: i just googled temperature history. it was 90-93 at the time i was leaving.

how's Las Vegas?
It's been uncomfortably cool the last few days. It was only 70 this morning on the way to work. You get acclimated to 100+ temps and then anything below 85 is cold.

The riding is good, just need more time away from work to enjoy it.

this dude was at Staging Area 1 at Rowher and i asked him about it. and took some pics.

he had little bits of info on it but seemed to be a buddies bike that just gave it to him. he said something about this particular bike being a one off at the time and they were testing out new technology on it (way back then).

i know i live in Hollywood, but this guy was totally a Hollywood guy that kinda didn't know much. he knew he had something special, but he seemed more into showing it off than anything.
