FWIW, I'm sure many of us are guilty of blazing through the blind corners as well.

No, nothing like that. It's a pretty flat stretch anyway, nobody's fault it is just one of those unfortunate timing kinda things.

always stay to the right and slow DOWN in blind corners!
once u have had a head on u will start to respect the trail and think of others coming the oppsite way!!!!! BEEN the DONE that!
watching the video, i only knew what was gonna happen next!
lucky that was not a rzr XP900 coming around that corner!
we almost got taken out a few weeks back by a few jerks in trucks and we were staying right etc!
that thought they were RObby Gordon or something, i stopped in middle of raod before 2nd one came by and gave him the stink EYE, but he still proceded to do what he was doing and almost took out the 4 riders behind me!!!!

It's a no win situation. I have had a mountain biker do $2500 damage to my car on a 3 mph forest drive with the wife. Main drag in Big Bear 2N10. Forest Service allows competition racing on those roads to peddle freaks without closing the roads to regular traffic. Not even any signs to warn you.

Bottomline... car doing 3 mph can't out maneuver a bicycle at 25 mph when it's on the wrong side of a blind curve. He was so far off center all the damage he did was on the passenger side of the car and I was hugging that side of the road.

A guy on a dirt bike would have come through the windshield.

Riding fireroads is a risk, PERIOD. Riding fireroads like its a closed course is just STUPID! We all take risk's when riding, just try to minimize the ones you can control. See you boys next week on the ST on the green hill

Last weekend in CNF, I watched a drunk bouncing all over the fire road heading down...hauling ass. A little white truck, almost hit my bike parked on the side of the road, he over corrected, and the tire was halfway off the road, I would have had to rescue if they went over the side there for sure. Inside were two people, male driver, female passenger. I looked for them over the edge the rest of the way down but they must have made it.

Many close calls in CNF with Jeeps, kids in trucks, motorcycles on my side (KTM's more often than not, dunno why, not judging, just an observation). Had a hiker laying halfway across the fire road, in the shade, not far from a corner. I ride slow but I'm pretty sure Greg freaked out, he rides even faster than most everyone I know. The grand daddy blind corner surprise of all was when I encountered TWO USF Law Enforcement Rangers, one with a drug dog, 2 giant forest trucks unloading 30 volunteers(?), and a couple regular USF guys. They didn't stop me, but told me to slow down to a mere crawl.

Oh yea, one more, I often ride at night and often find small, pumpkin sized boulders that seemingly walk into the road, usually around a blind corner.
