Thanks all,

DR Yeah now that I got the hang of it I really don't mind the kick starter but then again she hasn't taken a nap on me yet this is the best investment I've bought in years.

I love the L and I got big plains for her some day down in South America but on the trail -60 pounds + more power & better suspension=

The up side
It stops faster
It's faster off road wise
The front wheel comes up easer for those times when you need to make the front end light.
Theres not that huge gap between 1st and 2nd gear.

The Down side
Harder suspension and having to hold on tighter wares me out sooner
Kick Starter only

The L IMO is one of the best all around bikes ever made but not best suited hard trail riding witch is most of what I'm riding these days and I was killing the thing I cracked the sub frame and when I would tell people the bike was a year old they where shocked I'm going to get plenty of use out of the L still but more in the way she was designed to be ridden.

As often as you ride any bike is going to get worked in a year. I there a chance that the xr600 suspension is over sprung for your weight? The xr600 suspension should be easier on you than the L's. Ask DR if he had the springs changed on the 600. Ben

I think he said it was setup for 190-200 and I'm 205 so I think it's good. I think it's just the difference between riding something meant for whoops and aggressive trails vs. less aggressive trail riding.
