Stay in the ruts and try to keep your speed up. It's the only way to unpack the tires. Maybe even spin up the rear some

But that's just my guess. I've never actually ridden in mud. I'm from Texas

[QUOTE=veriest1;22374773]I'm suprised to hear that. What was wrong with it?QUOTE]

Put the tire on, went for a short ride and it felt like the tire was flat. I stopped, checked the pressure, it was at 35 psi. I eased the bike home and checked the pressure with another gauge just to be sure and it read 35 as well. I went ahead and put air in it, upped it to 40 psi, took it for another short ride and had the same feeling. It feels like the tread isn't attached to the carcass. It feels like it's floating around. I've run 8 TKC fronts and this is the first tire to give me problems.

My internet conscience told me I had to post that the ranch got 3" of rain last night. I hope I got more today. If not, weather whining will commence again.

My gauge only shows 3 1/2" and the Clear Fork of the Trinity river was flowing when I came thru Whiskey Flatts.

I actually tried to stay out of the ruts and ride where I could stay on grass.

The mud packed in and stuck everywhere. Spinning up the rear packed more mud in everywhere.Take a look at the back of my seat in the second photo below. I have heard stories of New Mexico mud clogging up bikes enough that people smoked clutches.

This was from before the mud got bad. Note the front tires. All 3 bikes had near new knobbies on them.

When we stopped to de-mud, My clutch lever was not moving right. The whole area around the rear shock, back of engine, and sprocket area had so much mud packed in you couldn't see any of the parts.

I saw a break in the radar at about 6pm after continuous rain all day so I scoped out a few Bosque County roads. Traction was good and dust nonexistent but sadly we still need more rain...

Somehow the algae on 4180 was green and slick in a few spots.

Riding this weekend should be outstanding if any of you get the chance.
