Reminds me of an Heidi. Not sure they come in the size my bike uses (170/60 - 17). But a 50/50 tire like that would be a good match. I got 7k - 8k out of my Anakee 2's on my 1150GSA and I have 5,800 on my Conti trail attack 2's on the waterboxer.

OK, you got me interested. But will it hold the pavement when tipping over in a turn at 110 mph? Would make the Gold Star standard if it could.

Still, that's only maybe 2500 SOG miles. Not much more for little old me.

I just put Karoo 3's on my GSA. I'm a bit worried. Since BigDave gets similar mileage out of Tourances as I did with A2's (similar tires) then I'm probably in for a short life tire. I'm usually a double SOG tire life rider. But I didn't want to put on Heidenaus and get 12k and hate them. So I figured I'd try the softer and more expensive tire first

So far, I've only got about 100 miles on them. Still getting used to a tire that turns again. The A3's were a bit squared off. Plus these tend to feel even more like they are diving into a corner anyway, according to others.

Yup. The Karoo3 is a very soft tire.

Anyone tried and like the Anakee 3? The standard Tourance seem to be the best I've found for the big girl.

I think Ghostrider has tried them and didn't like them. As far as I'm concerned the Tourance is the mileage king.

Now I didn't try and do some knee draggin on the E07, but did make about a 90-95 mph run up from Anchorage to Chicken. I ran about 50-60 in the dirt trying to spin them up every chance I got, but they grip better than a TKC. They are fairly quiet till you get near the edge of the tire and they start to howl a little. I had them on an 06 Tiger 955i. The trip up to D2D and further up to Inuvik the bike was overloaded. 41 liter panniers means you will pack more shit. They also did a trip to McCarthy. Granted they aren't going to handle like Scorpion Trails, but for a tire that will get you through mud nearly axle deep, it does ok.

The A3 is my mileage king so far. 10k miles front and rear. Never got more than 8.5 out of anything else.

I like the Anakee's over the Tourances.

In one of the Annakee 3 threads, people are complaining of abnormal wear of the front. Anyone here experience that?

I sure had unusual wear on Tourance EXP…wore it into a wedge…literally no side wall left….I did not like A3s…I went back to the old Tourance

I had a Mitas on my HP2 when I bought her…Got fair mileage but stuck in the corners like a Crayola
