Yeah. I agree. I could have added that heidi as a factor........but it had kicked on him before and he discounts the tire as a factor. He knew it was harder (less sticky) than what he was used to riding. It is one weird sumbitch.

I was dang sure blaming heidi to the trooper when he was writing the report. I didn't want him going back to look at that black mark on corner exit. lol

As far as the kickout in Pearl, well, I don't know if people like me should own the heidi. I ain't real sure we should own motorcycles. ;)

Mr2much.....got the map from Rick but would like to buy one. Just got to ruidoso and it is cool and smells of pine. Sog, I agree with James....very eloquent.

And ghost is right, point north and twist the grip. Plan to do that on friday morning. Got a call when I was 20 miles from ruidoso that some of my cows got out. My feral compadre answered the call and got them home. He said he will go over in the morning feed them and do a headcount. The purpose of the story is to again highlight the friends one can make in our motorcycle community. At some time we will all probably benefit from this kind of help.

I told James' wife Fatima that James had two things working in his favor when he crashed....one is the number of friends he has made on advrider that want to help and the other was his protective gear. Is this a great country or what?

Rear suspension set to full hard on both adjustments... still bottoming.

Fortunately this was factored into the purchase price to some extent.

1500 miles since rebuild. I'm not sure though since part of me just wants new ones so there are no issues.

I can't wait to need a few more of these. Wish I would have went ahead and got them fir the ride back from Utah.

I love the Texas map. I'm already planning a 3 to 4 to 5 day Hill Country trip this fall with the Texas map.

Veriest. Look at post nine in that listing. Stock shocks. Find out how many miles. If they were a couple hundred bucks and low mileage, I'd buy them and have them on by next weekend.

Yeah...the UT & CO maps woulda been great to use on the way back...

It will be with socializing and riding with my dad. He ain't fast or quick. The trip is really jus to spend time with him.
