SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUUUUNDAY!

Watched Ted tonight. Great movie, not for kids, even if the main character is a giant teddy bear. I was kind of surprised at the amount of small kids there, have to blame the parents for not watching a preview I guess.

I am looking to sell the KLR. If I had my way we'd have a garage full of Motorcycles, the wife continues to be my voice of reason. Part of the agreement to get the KTM was that I would sell the KLR. So if you know anyone interested send 'em my way.

Well, I am on the great rear tire hunt. Will start heading south in a bit. Starting in Killeen, Cove area. Then that dealer in Georgetown I guess. Then Austin if I have to. Want a Tourance or Anakee2 150/70 17 but might settle for something else. Riding with maybe 3 KTM's tomorrow. Gotta try to uphold BMW pride.

I'm gonna first see if I can get my rear wheel off with my fine random collection of chinese made HF tools. BigDave or BigDaveSon tightened the lugs so I might need to find a length of pipe as a cheater bar.

Fail. No size 50 torx in China I guess.

SOG, buy you some tools, James doesn't need to supply all the one's for your bikes.

I think they'd be afraid I'd use them if I had them.

Yes. SOG just learned of the existence of tool stores. Something we had managed to hide most of his life. Some things are just better left the same...

We are trying to steal all his wire cutters. It could be the most dangerous tool he does have.

Looks like Sunday ride is going to happen if anyone aside from the usual suspects wants to go I'm going to guess that I'll be leaving Cove around 745-800ish. If you southerner guys want to meet up let me know.

This usual suspect is 95% glitching. Dammit. Not entirely tire related, either. But ....to add insult to injury, now I have committed myself to delivering shocks to Marble Falls at noon today.

Damn. I can sure screw up a weekend in new and unique ways. Again. A couple more years and they ain't gonna let me off the lockdown ward without a leash.

Did you make a luggage decision Shady?

I'm having trouble deciding what protection setup to get...

Full Rumbux kit (not a big fan of the upper crash bars, skid plate is top-notch apparently...frame mounted)
AltRider (great upper bars, skid plate good but not frame-mounted, slightly pricier)

The AltRider skid plate is one of the few sump-mounted options that has yet to cause any problems...

Don't know if I'll ever ride it hard enough to matter?

Argh...

Dropped shocks off to the fella from Boerne meeting me in Marble Falls. Will limp home and pull the covers over my head.

Fack no. I keep telling myself I'm going to call someone and make a order, but it hasn't happened.

Not familiar with anything s10, but they mount the skid plates to the sump? Must be the same engineer from KTM who mounted the kickstand to the engine case. For riding gravel roads the skid plate is more of a rock deflector. I did bottom out and 'skid' on my 800GS when I was with James and The Nephews once. Usually once or twice a weekend I here a loud clang as a good size rock bounces off it. So I guess for your purposes it should be ok? Still sounds scary being mounted to the sump though...no frame mounted options?
