I see. I was looking for them all wrong.

I want them to keep the plastics from pushing down on the pipe and melting if I throw luggage over them. I wonder how they work in that capacity.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

They work and are used a lot on supermoto bikes, same idea as a frame slider, but that guy has them on the wrong spot...should be as far back on the can as you can get it.

One option:

https://ssl.perfora.net/advancedperf...dex.shopscript

They aren't pink...which I'm sure you want...so you may have to keep looking .

SoG I apologize if the last time you were texting me it was...fragmented...? Was in a celebration and may have had to much tequila. Actually, I have been really drunk every weekend here, since the week is driving me insane.

I talked to the guy and he said he was running them to save the plastics from melting with luggage and is planning on getting a second set for sliders.

So I was perusing through my new Motorcyclist mag today and came across a little article mentioning new motorcycle laws passed that go into effect 2013. "Texas Assembly Bill 7036" - The sit the hell down and ride act. Aimed at curbing the "epidemic" of stand-up freeway wheelies. Basically, all street legal motorcycles sold after January 1, 2013 in Texas, must have a seat mounted pressure switch/detector. Spark shall be interrupted unless the detector determines your butt is not on the seat. WTF

I've tried to find more info on this, googling, to no avail. Has anyone heard about this? Obviously this will affect us dual sporters if you get a new bike.

Good news is that pressure switches are easily defeated. A terrible law anyway, since even the MSF courses teach you to stand up if there is a obstacle in the road.

You don't have to speak french to understand awesome...looks like SoG's tire at the end. Off to find a ice lake and spikes.

Or anyone that wants to stand up and stretch their legs. The more I think about this, the more it sounds like BS. I think it would take years to implement this and seconds for any biker to disable.
