Agman used to live in that area and is familiar with the dirt roads there. So we're going to meet up and meat up (on BBQ) and then go hit those roads. He says the roads are just dirt (not gravel or road base), so the plans may change if the area gets some serious rain this week and turn nasty. But if we don't ride the CRs, then we'll ride the paved roads in the area.

After my last adventure in which I'm still finding water in places it shouldn't be, I'm ok with being on the dry for a while.

Its alive. I rode it some yesterday. I'll try to get out later this week and then change the oil again. I disassembled the instrutment cluster to get the water out of it Sunday evening. There was some fog is the gauge area on the ride yesterday, but I got the lion's share of the water out.

The bulb that shows the high beems are on died but thats the only bike related issue I still have. I'm sending my camera back to Nikon repair today for them to see if they can fix. It only costs the shipping to have them give me an estimate for repair.

So, everything is back to normal, but I'm gonna be a little more cautious on the pavement for a while.

Yeah, I could never get it started. They drained the fuel, cleaned out the carb, changed the oil and got it started again. Also straightened the wheel. When I rode it back from the dealer the site glass fogged up. Still cooking the water out of the system. I've put maybe 60-70 miles on it since then. I'll need to need to put some more miles on here, change the oil and we should be good to go.

You still planning on BB in April? I am.

You coming? Agman said he was going to trailer the XR there and then ride on the dirt roads in the area. He used to ranch in that neck of the woods, so he knows all the good roads.

I'll be heading up that way on Sunday and depending when and where we meet Toltec for the BB planning session. We can meet up somewhere along the way.

How Will I stay awake on the bike! big Breakfast at 9 am fish fry at lunch. I'll have to ride WFO just to stay awake between stops!
