Now I understand the new bike purchase. Do it while he can, before the lady vetoes it for a piece of jewelry. Good thinking, Dahveed.

Though that being said, my first BMW over 30 years ago was bought on our 1 year Anniversary, canceled a lunch at the Fairmount and bought the bike. Still married. Just like fishing, you keep the good ones and throw away the rest.

Man, that fishing analogy is apt. And sometimes the ones that you swear will be keepers get pretty rotten later on.

Thanks everyone.

Cindy and I have a deal. I buy a new bike and I have to buy her a new purse. If you think that Touratech stuff is pricy, try walking into the Louis Vuitton store. Thankfully she wanted the "cheap" purse.

The deal only works when I BUY a bike. I sold three and didn't get to sell any of her current purses.

This deal is one reason I'm done buying bikes for a long time.

Oh, a quick bike report. I love that new water boxer. It handles just amazing, the lighter weight is great, i can comfortably reach the ground and the power is perfect. I'm still working on dialing in the ergonomics, but I'm very happy with it now. Those of you holding out for the adventure model should be pleased with that too.

Have you considered buying tires in bulk? Maybe from the distributer?
