I'm glad you're working on this again- saves me the hassle of stalking you all over advrider, hounding you to get after it.

Truly, a great report.

Yup, that one's mine. '95 model with about 60K on her. It's been a great bike and she too has seen the belly of many an Alaskan Ferry. The picture below "Big Bird" is another Team Ptrodactyl Bike. Belongs to a buddy of mine.. Griz... from Spearfish, SD. Thanks for noticing.

Thanks Greg, I talked to some of the fellas that worked on the ship, pretty good gig if you can get it, most of them lived in log cabins on sparsely populated islands with no running water, generators for electricity, and bears for neighbours...very interesting life they lead.

AntWare – I am not jealous of your free-wheeling care-free travels, as I am going south while you are north. I am not jealous – I’m not! Ok, I am -

Seriously - in the spirit of sharing – What are you packing, and how do you have it packed?

Here you go mate...

Left Pannier

Tools, tyre levers, spare parts, 21" inner tube, flat repair kit, first aid kit, space blanket, camping stove, fuel, pots, pans, cups, food, flashlight.

Right Pannier

Six pack, tennis shoes, toiletries, towel, books, workshop manual, heated jacket, heated glove liners, rain gear, and anything I might need to get my hands on.

Dry Bags

Tent, sleeping bag, thermarest, in one

Clothes in the other.

I also had a Camelback backpack that I kept my valuables and documents in...camera, gps, walkman, cd's, sun glasses etc.
