KTM 690 Enduro R mods

Just got my new '09 KTM 690 R. Right out of the chute I took it to Copper Canyon for 700 miles off road in the canyon- 100% off road. Well I did put a few miles and scratches on her before actually putting her to the test. Great bike...but a little light on the available accessories to actually get it going on a real adventure. First thing. 110 mile range on the tank. Besides that 900 dollar unit, what is everyone else doing for extended fuel range? Pushing is definately not an option here. Rear rack..no such thing. What have you come up with? Air box- mine allowed dust into behind the seal..and into the box- that sucked. Is this normal? Did you bike do this? I added the Akrapovik complete titanium pipe and header plus a Scotts steering stabilizer- never leave home without one. and my trusty Touratech GPS mount but that's it. What other mods are you doing to get you bike out in the real world.

Have to say though...not kicking my BRP did feel good.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO - what a ride!"
