Honda Elite 150 with ATTITUDE!
I am trying to learn if it is possible to fit a Honda Elite 250 motor into the body/frame of an Elite 150. I think it could be done with not too much modification and it would be a blast to ride. Has anyone done this? Problems?? Thanks.

Anything is possible with enough skill/time/money. Im pretty sure its been done before, but i can't find anything on the net about it right now. Ive got both an Elite 150 and a Helix(almost/or the same engine as the Elite 250) and i can say that the motor in the Helix is a bit bigger/longer. You may have to lose some of the rear bodywork in order to fit the engine in there.

At a car show in South Bend, Ind. there was this mini bike with a chevy 427. I have to ask myself why? Of course the answer is always "because you can".

Gotta put a speed kit on the 250 first. What can you punch that thing up to?
Definitely give it a try. |

Having owned both bikes, i think you will be less than impressed with the power increase.
The 250 top speed is only about 10mph higher (58 vs. 68 mph) The motor swap can be done if you really want to. I read about it being done somewhere, made it sound do-able. One small problem: The rear panels won't fit over the larger engine. I understand though, I want a CR500 motor in my Reflex.

yeh, go with Ernest T on this one. He is the king of Honda elites. I too have heard of it done, but there were no detail given. Drive downhill if ya want 10 more MPH. But if ya do it, take lots of pics.

This meminds me of a guy down here in San Diego that put a Helix (250cc?) motor in a Spree (50cc bike) a while back. If I hadn't seen it with me own eyes I would have called bullshit. Thing was rediculous- if you grabbed a handful of throttle, it would simply plant you on your back like a turtle. I really wanted that bike...

Anything is possible if you throw enough money at it.
Example: Motorcycle with 3.0 liter Ferrari V8 Makes the Boss Hoss look like Fried Hell.

250 in a 150
I'm working on the same project. I don't know where the other guys are coming from because I have a Helix and a ch150 and I can tell you that the Helix is way faster.
I now have a spare CH250 that will go into my '87 ch150 chassis. I know you will need a ch250 style exhaust and a ch250 rear wheel. I will post updates as I make progress. Thanks, Nathan Albuquerque New Mexico |

To me that looks more like a 3.0 liter Ferrari V8 with motorcycle.
