This thread should be bumped to the top

Just called Derek after finding this thread and he has my parts in stock. He is only 20 minutes away and I am totally stoked.

The local KTM dealer had me on back order for a month and when I picked up the parts they were the wrong ones.

Just a quick note to say that I have in stock:

Pilot screw well taps.

Added them above as well, so the list is complete.

Hi, Derek!
I am in desperate need of a rebuild kit for the carb on my 1999 KTM LC4 640 E. It's the stock carb - I believe it's a Mikuni BST 40...KTM has them on backorder until February and it's just sitting in the shop waiting to come back to life!!
I need the gaskets mainly, I believe. I am a total newbie, so my ability to articulate what is needed is limited, but I am pretty sure all that I need is a gasket set for the rebuild. Do you have one for sale?
THANK YOU!!!
Michael

Unlike the kit from KTM, this includes the float needle, but does not contain the slide diaphragm, which I have available separately.

Thank you Derek!

I recently picked up a 2001 KTM LC4 with a BST-40 carb that had not been properly jetted for the exhaust and airbox. A quick phone call to Derek and the proper parts were in the mail, the same day.

Derek spent some time going over the wear issues with the BST, things to watch out for, and gave me some general tuning advice for the LC4.

Also, his carb rebuild kit is cheaper than the KTM kit and includes the rubber tipped needle valve(something which is hard to come by from KTM on it's own). The hex head throttle butterfly screws are a very Pro touch too.

Everything worked out great, and the bike starts up on the first kick.

Thank you for providing hard to find parts at a great price and for taking the time to go over the details with me. My used bike purchase started out as a dud, but got a whole lot better with those new jets. That LC4 can pull!
