Buzzez, sorry to hear of the get-off but at least you were out there giving it a go! Glad to hear you didn't get seriously injured.
I saw quite a few endo's this last weekend when I ran the 30+ mile IronMan Poker Run of the Desert 100 in WA, essentially a pre-run of the race course at whatever pace you can manage, which is all I would have done in the race anyway, but with less pressure for this out-of-shape body... It was a dusty, rocky, sandy, whooped-out course that really beat you up. A few moderate rocky hillclimbs with a lot of carnage on them but that's where experience and a YZ450 just zipped me up all of them on alternate routes up the faces with no problems. I thought I was doing OK in one area until a girl in pink gear on a Honda 150 comes smokin' past me. Quite humbling for this 1957 model The kids would ride fast but bursty and stop often, and I rode steady and ended up getting to the end before many of them anyway. It was a blast, and boy am I sore today.Used to ride enduro's 30 years ago, and been trail riding and done trials since then... and thinking of trying a few enduros again for the heck of it. "Super-Senior" ouch!

Buzzez, that was one of the toughest courses I've ever ridden. That said, I had blast, ended up 4th in the Super Senior Class.
rgp338, it was good meeting you. I don't know if I'll do any more hare scrambles this year. I usually do enduros. Check out www.blackjackenduro.com |

That's good to know. I wish, I could remember who helped me up... I was completely out of it.
I've got a few picks here Be warned! There's a bonus pick of my bruise...it's actually worse now, than what's in the pics. ![]() I'm going to try this hare scramble thing again...I'm just going to attempt it at a friendlier course...

As part of your gear, are any of you wearing knee braces or gaurds?

Rocky Mountain ATV makes some good knee guards also. Buzzez you definately picked a tough one to start on! The one at St. Joe park will be a piece of cake compared to this!!
