Switzerland to Tunisia and back - HELP!
I'm planning ride my F800GS from Switzerland to Djerba, Tunisia starting december 27th and I need some help since I never been to Tunisia. My plan is to drive down to Genova Italy and take a ferry to Tunis. I need somehelp with:
- Mechanics/Contacts that can help me if the motorcycle stops working
- Advriders in the Tunisia that can give me some guidance on places that must see and must avoid
- Links to interesting posts on Tunisia
- Other Advice?
Your help is greatly appreciated!

I'm a Canadian that is working in Tunisia. I'm in and out right now, but will be making the move in the next few months to be here permanently for a few years and will be based in Tunis.
I have been to a few places in the country and continue to see more as I spend more time here. There is a lot to see and the people are incredibly friendly and helpful.
My impression of Djerba, great beaches. Ok Medina/Souk. Access to the desert from here. I've been in a Land Crusier and found some amazing roads/places in the south for an ADV bike. I was more interested in looking at rocks at the time, but will get the details on locations.
Lots of Libyan gas at road side stands all over the place in the south. Gas shouldn't be an issue ;).
