Wheelies. Monster controlled wheel-ies. I don't care what your name is, how responsible you say you are or what sort of bizarre rituals you get up to in the privacy of your own home. Get on a Monster and before you can say Richard Almet you'll be attempting wheelies. Get it right and whole streets will smile, flocks of pretty girls will throw their telephone numbers at you and you'll make the And Finally... spot on News At Ten. Perhaps. But get it wrong and you'll look about as cool as Robbie Coltrane in a sauna. Or worse. And it's 50 yards into a bleary-eyed Sunday morning, after an evening of Heineken, Jacobs Creek and Courvoisier, following days of weedy 250 customs (see p28) when you most emphatically get it wrong.
Green light, she's looking and I'm cookin' - let's dump it. Yay-hey-hey (nicely crossed-up) ooo-err (veering towards the dual carriageway central reservation). Oops. (Help.)
I drop the front (bang), my left hand comes off the bar and I'm swerving straight for the reservation's kerb at 45mph. At this moment I sadly note the
Monster is not a trail bike. I'm done for. It'll never get over. (I'm about to trash a Ducati and someone will murder me.) Wallop, boing - and over! Amazing. I made it. And... Arrgghhh! I'm going the wrong way up the fast lane of the dual carriageway and three lanes of cars are coming towards me. Eeek!
Oh well, at least she was still looking. And I think she was impressed...

I miss my 95 M900. Had it all tricked out as my track day instructor mule, since the ergos were right for watching studeints over my shoulder. Untape the lights, and street legal again.

Mmm, I still have email addee of the guy I sold it to.... Wonder if he ever wants to sell it back?

I wouldn't mind a six month test ride on one at some point

No problem. Just remember your roots... buy high, sell low!

That's how it works out anyway. When I'm done with something I just want it out of my sight

That'd prolly be enough time to do some MAJOR damage to yer driving record

I've been told the M900 is one of the easiest bikes to wheelie in the whole history of motorcycling. Swampy most definitely would not approve.

I've never been on one, but have always wanted to. Seems to be just street-y enough to keep me out of the ANF. Some pretty cool bags out there for them too.

I've been working a bunch lately so no pics of the KTM yet. I'm keeping the steering dampener and dropping the price.

$3,000

Pics to come after I remove the steering dampener.

Decided to go BONKERS cleaning the KTM this afternoon (like strip the plastics off, get out 2 kinds of scrub brushes, 2 kinds of cleaners, hose, soap, rags, polishing compound, gasoline, etc). All I can say is I want to sell it WAY less now and when I finally get around to pictures of this thing one of you is going to run here to get a very clean ride (and break my heart at the same time).

Orrrrr ... someone can help me talk my wife into letting me keep all of my bikes and move them out of state with me :)

The bike is exactly as pictured aside from the bark busters which are no longer on the bike (I cracked one of the stock plastic ones at the whiting field OHV park) I still have both mounts and the side that wasn't broken if you want them. I still have all the original paper work in plastic sleeves stored in the KTM briefcase they give you when you buy one, and the tool kit, both of which will go in the sale. I know this isn't the purpose of this thread but I figured I would give you guys first dibs on the best deal in the country on a '12 Enduro R. I'm listing the bike at 9,200 which is cheaper than any listing I could find for a 2012 OR 2011 new or used.

for those of you how know about these bikes the big changes for MY12 include increased displacement from 640 to 690, Higher compression, new suspension, new graphics, and a headlight that works. If your interested shoot me a P.M. and if you know anyone who might be please pass this on.
buy this guy's bike

I'd like some seat time on a '12 to see if the extra cash is worth the out lay. It would have a tough act to follow, but I have been thinking....
