I seem to recall you having one ...... long enough to change the fuel pump anyway.

Dave, thanks for the CS info.

I loved it, but they are not without their quirks. Fuel pump being one. I had the whole bike apart it seemed, but it really wasn't that bad. Swapping a pump on the trail would be tough because it's pretty much a total loss for whatever fuel is in the tank.
Backfires sometimes pop the throttle body off the intake- make sure the clamps are tight.
Doesn't backfire with the right map. Mine had the Akra map and I only recall once where it did it. Maybe on other flame out, but both were prior to the pump replacement.
Sensor on the airbox has some wires running to it that can come loose and set a code. Mine were good, and never had an issue.
Valves and stuff are not hard to check. Mine didn't need any adjustment.
The 690 mega thread was a great source, but it got nuked (never too big to fail?)
If you have any questions gimme a holler. You'll love it!

The little knob under the seat goes from DR650 to HOLY SHIT in less than 30 seconds, but if that's not quick enough you can get a bar mounted switch

KLR Rider's special!

ok so I have pile of tires I have accumulated, most of em are in good shape they just started gettin rounded edges and got cast off and sent to the corner of the garage. stored outta sunlight and rain, so they should be good for another few thousand miles on a KLR rider's budget.

They're mostly dunlop and some maxxis, of various models.

For ADVer's I figure if you come and get em all, soon, you can have em. Need em gone. located in 32563 FL

I also have a XT225 that's sittin around needs gone too. I have many spare parts for it, and eventually i'll part it out if I can't get rid of it. I'd probably be easy to persuade on it, askin 300.

pm offers, questions, comments, complaints.

I'll do some checking. If it's something that can be modded to slide on we can work something out.

Wanted

I need a complete head and valve cover for a KLR (2005). PM me if you have any.

This one appears to have suffered a catastrophic failure of the automatic compression release. This is not my old KLR btw (which is sold).

Send newcastleadam a PM. He's one of the resident KLR freakizoids. If he doesn't have one, sure he knows someone who does...
