Advtank brace and July 2 Adventure Ride
Hi Guys,
the brace works great - I was up at Yosemite area this weekend and it worked great. Will have some vids to show. Anybody interested in the Adventure Ride by Adventure Designs in Hayward July 2? http://www.advdesigns.net/info.html They will be going North of Golden Gate and hitting some dirt up there. Mike Z |

I'll get in touch with Mike A. asap. That hole you had in the tank is certainly a bit of a concern...

Dual Sport Ride in Gold Country This Wkend:200 miles, LongBarn
ooooh. Hot Springs! Thanks, Double D
Here's a dual sport ride that my friend is putting on. It's designed to be a smaller crowd than the Sheetiron and even though the lodge is sold out, call up the lodge to see if you can camp on the grass or camp nearby or stay at another place nearby. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...4#post16236474 I've taken my Strom on some of this route and did fine. It's not exactly all 2 wheel drive fire roads and there are some water crossings. There will be hard splits that may have a snow challenge to work through or work around. 100 miles a day, two days. Many of you guys on this thread are way advanced riders and know the riding areas well. However, if you are new to the area or to dual sporting, then having a package dual sport ride may be a great way to get acclimated. Enjoy your weekend.

Up to the Lost Coast & Avenue of the Giants
I caught one of YFFs in Pt. Reyes yesterday when I was snapping pix of the town.
![]() I also saw a bunch of KTM 950/990 Adventurers riding south on 1, not sure if they were ADVers though... I've never ridden all the way up CA-1 but I did yesterday and spent the night in Garberville with a bunch of Harley fools. I dunno if there was a big H-D event going on but I saw a ton of "rolling thunder trains" on 101 this morning, and on my way back from "Avenue of the Giants" and the Lost Coast there was bunch of old BMWs, Nortons and Triumphs in Garberville around lunch time. Even saw one cool old Honda too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lost Coast ![]() ![]() I think this could use a little TLC ![]()
