I hope the event does well and that they are able to refine the cost a bit.

+1 I am doing the KTM adventure rally again this year... its less than half the price and tons of great food, swag and support from KTM..

Yeah, the whole things a great idea but not to include lodging for that price is WAY over the top. I'll go see it and meet up with some folks, maybe do the non rider deal and tag along on the rides. I'm all for supporting the community and I know theres a price to be paid but this seems like someones making out like a bandit.

Aww man, what happened to Eric's KTM? We need more LC4's on this thread.

He still has the KTM, but he likes the 610 more in the dirt.
We might be selling the KTM soon, as we need to make more room in the garage

Day 2

We woke up to sunny skies and no fog so we were out the door pretty early...

The granite up here just never stops...

Wish I could say the same for myself...

This skid plate has served me well. So has the rear tire, apparently :teeth

Eric is really digging his TE610...

Arrgh...this was much steeper than the photo lets on, and I spit myself off the trail and fell into the tree to the left of the bike....

A different angle. You can see the nice brown dirt exposed beneath the rocks that were flung off the trail by what was left of my rear tire...

It was getting pretty warm, what with all that Husky heaving going on, so we decided to make our way back to the swimming hole we'd found the day before...

That little trip involved some relatively intricate route-rinding and we were happy to hear the water long before we saw it...

These perfectly round holes were everywhere, although most of them held water...

We spent the entire day at the swimming hole before reluctantly packing up and heading for home...

I'm heading up there too. It's been a long time since I explored that area.

Actually, I don't post near as much stuff here as I used to. It just gets buried in a day, at least it does in the ride reports sections, anyway.

I'll be posting some stuff from our anniversary ride pretty soon, just gotta get it together into some sort of order. Here's a preview...

Where was this swimming hole? It is not Emerald Pools, is it somewhere on the Yuba?
