Agreed Carnegie has a lot of good stuff for big bikes... You might post here instead (as well?) of pm'ing and we can see about getting a few people out there. Weekends can be full of kiddies, weekdays can be hard for everyone but can be the best riding (especially after recent rain). I can do mornings mid week and It's always good to have someone to help kludge a repair or pick your bike up!

Hey leesagi, NOmamesSF, Madmax237, maxinux and all,

We're planning to have a campout in Hollister on
Feb 22-23rd ... usually stay at Madrone, up from
the store ...

Here's a useless map ... there's some dirt over Mt. Madonna
if you head from Alice's to Watsonville ... and from there to Hollister Hills ...

We have several GS/GSA riders in the SFMC, one of whom just
rode his two-up to Patagonia ... (Meetings Thursday nights at 18th & Folsom).
http://whyweroam.wordpress.com/

We're also planning on hitting Mercey Hot Springs this weekend ...

Be a bunch of us at Hollister, and probably just Cary and me at Mercey ...

BAARCers always welcome ...

see you around the campfire,
-- SFMCjohn

Hey LTS,

Wow, super cool pics! Love this one ... Thanks for the CP tips, that ridge above
Selby campground was ideal ...

Thanks for the pics, and hope to
see you again around the campfire, soon ...

New to this thread..

Hey guys. Im in Santa Cruz and ride a porky but sporty GS 1200 and would like to ride with like minded characters. Ive ridden fire roads on the GS but have logged 100k+ miles trail, commuting and highway rides and still not an expert. Except at enjoying myself.

Im usually flexible and can juggle things with work and wife. Ideal day rides would be 100 miles with a good walk at a point of interest or a 300 sporty ride on less traveled two lane roads. Good eating a plus and tank bag is always full of munchies. Looking for a week long tour this summer too.

Im going out on a limb guys. This took some guts. Don't leave me hangin..

BTW is the trail to Murphy's ok for the GS. Im running 80/20 tires?

I'm always game and ride the same type of pig. I'm out of Livermore but know a good chunk of roads/places to hit.

Send me a note when you want to rock. However, I'm dead for a couple weeks for anything far from home as we are still in the process of moving...
