Didn't think to look for him, but I see his kid took 1st place in the PeeWee class! I don't know how the kids do the course on 14" wheels...

Had a great time, but wow am I sore today. Now that you mention it I did well enough to earn my first ever race trophy

--5th place in C Super Senior, that sounds ridiculous but C-SS is VERY competitive

I even beat the 'Pup--been so long since he'd raced he forgot that resets count towards distance traveled and he burned a check by 4 minutes. I think that's the first time I've beat him since he turned 12...

Congrats, HWD!

In other news, our very own Woods Chick is featured in CityBike this month!

Looking great, too, I might add.

I'm sure!

As long as we're patting each other on the back, wasn't that you--our very own Roadracer_Al--featured on the cover of the latest Aerostich catalog??? A very touching moment captured for all the riding world to admire...

Ouch! Pup takes a back seat to his old man! That is awesome
And double awesome on the trophy. Shall I alert MW and the RMD crowd?
And, hey, I know how hard it is to earn one of those, no matter what they're calling the race and no matter what class you're in. Congrats to you!

Ooh yeah! I saw that! That was way cool! I shudder to think what would happen if Eric and I tried to pull off one of those shots. Someone would be getting' hurt, no doubt

I honestly have no idea what it is, Rob! I haven't seen it, either.
Guess I should grab a copy. I mean, if I'm gonna be all famous and shit…

Hitting the newsstand this week! Just shipped it off to the printer.

The A'stich catalog shot was actually a bit of a production. My wife got the idea for the shot, and enlisted our neighbor Paul to drive my convertible, and the CityBike staff photographer Bob Stokstad to shoot the picture.

I thought "Yeah, that's all sweet an shit... but...". It turns out the image has legs -- we've had a couple of people contact us to buy prints.

Hey HWD,

Wow, super-proud of you, my hero! . What fun to race with your son, too ... I'd love to simply do an Enduro someday, let alone 5th place in C-SS, with all the treacherous fast old salts ...

Hey cxwing,

Sorry I missed you and HWD at Hollister this weekend ... did you see any SFMC jerseys? Hard to miss, they are so ugly ...

Cary loved the Roadracer_Al catalogue cover, and I'm looking forward to seeing WC in the June CB ...

see you around the campfire,

2014 Sheetiron/Streetiron

Hey BAARCers,

Got to hang out with my friends in the Oakland Motorcycle Club
at the Rodeo Grounds in Stonyford, along with 500 of my
closest motorcycle buddies ...

Catfish told me the road to Sheetiron Mountain was
clear of deadfall ... he was right!

Found some friends in the register ...

View of Mt Hull (on the right) from Sheetiron Mountain ...

... and Bicycle Phil on the tippy-top of Mt Hull ...
he and DaveRMS did ALL the hard-splits on Saturday,
leaving from Stonyford at 5am, riding to Ft Bragg and
returning to the Rodeo Grounds before sunset ...
bad-a** rally racers, they are ...

Sunrise from that 02 route with the water crossing at the bottom,
that goes from a couple of miles north of Stonyford up to Low Gap/M3 ...

View towards Stonyford from that road ... very pretty ...

Made it to Anthony Peak ...

... and view towards Lake Berryessa up from the Buck Island
intersection on Rayhouse Road ...

So, there you go ... Thanks to the OMC for all the amazing
amount of work they do year-in-and-year-out putting on the SI ...
this was the 23rd, so I'm told ...

see you around the campfire,
