Bummer John. Well we'll raise a glass for you while we camp.

Hi Todd,

I would like to join this ride too. I have a friend who would like to come too on a GSA (Sean B).

Cheers!
Excellent - I will try to catch up with you guys at one of those spots! Speaking of spots... If either one of you going has a SPOT, post up the link and that should make it easier to track you guys down.

Hey Bay Area peoples....last month I did the Great Divide Ride with my Dad, having started in Mountain View in order to ride to the start in Montana. I'm slowly working on the ride report, which is here:
http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=606301

After completing the ride in NM at the Mexico border, I went over to LA and moved into my new place. Those of you I know, I'm sure I'll see you on some dirt biking excursions every now and then.

Here is a preview of some photos that I'll be posting into the above RR as time goes on...

I'm confirmed for the Bodie ride. Shit, I even spooned on a new rear tire.

Anyone mind if I use their stove? My needs a rebuild, and I don't think I'll be able to get to in before the 20th. I'll bring my water pump for anyone to use.

You can use my Jet Boil if boiling water is all you need.

I have the group camp system if you need a big pot but you gotta come to my house in sunnyvale and pick it up.. I don't use it anymore..

I will leave my water filter at home since you and todd both have them..

I'll have to get Paul to show me how to use the damn thing. I've had my SPOT for almost a year now and still don't get how people can see where I'm at. The only thing I've figured out is how to send a help or OK mesage.

I have a jet boil as well. Your welcome to use it, but it's really only good at boiling water.

Hi Todd,

My buddy Sean B and I are in for sure.

I was wondering if we need water filters if we will be in Bridgeport at least once per day and buy a few liters each time?

Also,

I will be bringing some tasty orange food this trip.

We will be going through Bridgeprot at least once a day, so if you want to buy water than you won't need a filter.

Boy, I'd love to do this ride. But I just don't think I'm skilled enough to do Sweetwater. Sounds cool, though! Have fun, dudes.

What bike would you be on? If it's the TE I doubt you'd have trouble.

Yeah, I'd be on the TE. I guess it's something to think about. I'll see if I can get the days off work first.
