Mine is pretty quiet at part or steady throttle. Not a bother at all.
When accelerating, however, it does have a fair bark to it. Fortunately with the Duc and track bike my wife is already "deaf" to motorcycle exhaust noises.

If you leave the muffler part as it comes in the box, the entire system is about the same DB as stock, maybe a little quieter on bottom, but when you open it up a little bit louder. More throaty than louder...if that makes sence. It is legal noise level in most country's from what I am told.

Or to get a real idea, put your tounge between your lips and do a really loud motorcycle sound.....no louder!

I have the full system on my 06. With the spark arrester in its just barly louder than stock. Sparky out and its a whole diffrent beast, very throaty and runs much better on the top end.

On the full system its just one allen bolt to pull the screen. I dont run the screen when the sticky rubber is mounted up for canyon carving. Imo that screen is very restrictive just like the air box screen.

I just hung an X3 can on my 640A. With the screen and the quiet tip it is very stealthy... not OE quiet, but likely not much past 90dB.

I run the quiet insert with the spark arrestor on my X3 and I can get away with murder.
