I have just stopped complaining about the $3.47/gal. I've been paying.

Cheap gas for me is right at $3.90/gallon and $4.10 for diesel. That is in town and shopping around. The places right off the freeway it is $4.15/4.30.

So can we fill up before we get there and make it through - or will we need a fill up while we're there?

We have debated this at several fires. The general consensus is that we buy our gas there. The thinking is that is we all haul our own gas then next year he may not have any. Two years ago, I had to go on a midnight retrieval with the truck. By time I got back to camp I was on E. Not a good place to be, 70 miles from the nearest diesel. The guy hooked me up with 10 gallons. I wasn't going to buy 35 at those prices!

I'm probably going to bring in at least one 5 gallon can + 6 in the tank for the bike. I typically use mid-grade or premium and I don't need to pay twice what I normally do for that.

I'll almost certainly have to grab some gas for the truck though.

I was looking around www.midwayusa.com over the weekend. They are out of stock on damn near everything. I did manage to find some cast bullets for my 45LC in stock.

While waiting for them to get here, I fired up the pot yesterday and started making some of my own.

Midway actually has some .25 ACP in stock.

But throwing rocks would be more effective.
