Honestly, after doing Colorado and about 60% of Utah on my 800, next time I'll be taking my 450. It was nice to have the smooth twin for the east and midwest portions where it's long and flat (and for the trip back)... out here it gets rugged. It would be worth the discomfort if it improved my chances of self rescue, even if it meant shipping the bike back home at the end. I got damn lucky several times the first go around.

Yeah,... ......every now and then I wish I were back in Key West (especially this time of the year); but then I remember how boring the riding is in comparison to around here. Down there you're lucky to find a hill or a curve!


Maybe I need to move to Hawaii.....warm weather, hills (volcanoes), and plenty of curves.....if you know what I mean!
