We re-enacted this on a smaller scale at DV on Friday night. I was trying to earn my Boy Scout badge starting a fire with a firesteel and some toilet paper... Bob's very inebriated neighbor was having none of it. Decided a splash or three of gas was required. The resulting fireball and instant campfire was pretty entertaining. Thankfully I still have both of my eyebrows.

Scotty, I heard this funny story about how a wee strom with panniers past you like you were standing still. I almost spewed beer.
All lies until he produces the video

Happy to show you SMIBies around if you get out this way. Well, unless you want to do the Dez in summer in which case you are on your own!

+1. And summer here isn't hell on earth like it is in DV. It was over 100 in Badwater Basin on Friday. In March.

Cool. At the next camping circus try steel wool and a nine volt battery... It might get you laid. Don't guarantee it or if you get bromanced. It's a numbers thing... We need more lady riders will be nice not to have a fireball if you make a tinder ball from cotton and petroleum jelly

Yuppers the 9V trick

Also the lint from a dryer works well too with a Firestone & striker..

And if ya buy 1 of them fire place logs .. And chop it up into small carrying size they are wonderful fire starters!!

It was more fun watch Pomo having to deal with my drunk neighbor and still save his eyebrows!

Sorry Pomo. My neighbor and his buddy turned into a 5 and a 7 year old. All friggin' weekend. Sorry to say I was glad to be away from them for awhile!

I didn't mind, they were their own form of entertainment. I suspect they may have been with Lost as well.

My buddy runs a survival bracelet company (Wazoo Survival Gear) and he told me about the cotton + neosporin trick. He actually just incorporated a little pouch of it into his bracelets. I also convinced him to throw in some of them for raffle prizes at DV.
