The new shock was delivered today! So I left work a little early.

TWO packs of Life Savers!

It took me all of two minutes to put it on the KLR, check for clicking (there was none of course), and go for a short ride. It was great! I am pleased.

The retainer nut came loose on the first shock. Never before had this happened. It can only be attributed to my aggressive riding style. Yup - that's it. Sure.

I didn't get Life Savers with my first shock either. Maybe that's why she broke....

The spring on my replacement unit (Which I have named MOAB II) is actually slightly less stiff than the MOAB I. Still much stiffer than stock. Unless the bike was really loaded down heavy, there was not much sag with the first spring. So we decided to go one step softer. I like it. She soaks up the speed bumps through the neighborhood like nobody's business.

In other exciting news - I had oysters for dinner last night.

Not as many - and not as good - as last weekend's SMIB oysters. But it was nice to have somebody else open them up for me.

I too am thinking about Kevin , wishing him good luck as he watches it go dark at Lance's honey hole. I took my bow out and I'm starting to practice.

But now it's time to party with the wife and neighbors. Later dudes.

He said "dark in Lance's honey hole."
My inner 13 year old just couldn't let it go.
