I had to straighten my crash bars on my Wee when it fell over inthe garage. I pulled the tank then used a pry bare to make the adjustment. The lower end was against the skid plate. This was while it was on the side stand.

Got hung up in a muddy rut going too fast, tree up ahead, got the front pulled out to the left but was slow getting off the front brake (Dumas!) & she high sided to the right once the tire hit dry dirt. Threw me into the embankment, ribs tore up but not broken, hyperextended wrist, child's play at my young age (!). Maybe a concussion but I've been drooling for years, hard to tell... Tore off the right turn signal, cleanly sheared off the right peg, bent the brake pedal 90 to the rear, easy fixes after the mud was hosed off. Thankfully no damage to the adv-grade SMIB sticker; drove her home after my eyes refocused.

Here's the challenge - the SW Motech engine bars took all the impact & bent 3/4" inboard, into the plastic fairing. No breakage but leaving it alone will gradually eat up the fairing, so I want to pull it back off the plastic. Unless someone tells me there's a secret method to realign the bars, I intend to wedge her between 2 carefully spaced trees, one tight on the left side rear hub, one on the right center, and put a nylon tow strap on the bent bar & gently pull it out with the big tractor.

I have 15 acres of trees to experiment with and a big enough tractor. I already tried tying it off to the dog & throwing the ball in the opposite direction - no good - so pretty sure I need the New Holland.

Any wisdom before this happens his weekend? Can't be the first one to deal with this. I know, pics or it didn't happen...

My rebuilt Cogent rear shock arrived last night with a used stiffer yellow Ohlins spring. It sure looks like tom c's spring. It has a nick in the paint where is was rubbing on his bike

Rick and Joyce are great to work with at Cogent

I even got a roll of Lifesavers......

LOL! Max BMW gives you packs of M&Ms. The higher the $ amount, the more packs you get.

Considering what MAX gets for BMW parts, he ought to throw in a six pack of good beer.

I went from a 350# spring to a 400# spring and what a difference. It may be just a tad stiff on the street without gear (not as plush for the tush) but it will be perfect off road and/or with full camping gear.

I guess I'll check the sag later when I can get an assitant to measure.
