OMG, I was going to ask the same thing. I figured it would have to be 1000+ posts long and over a year in duration!

They seem to have a great outlook. Plan, we don't need a stinking plan!

no planning thread, but i'll give ya a report from 3 Step when i get there later this season. AZBDR, parts of UTBDR and COBDR, don't have all the route details worked out yet. it's thumper country, but i'm going to fumble along with the big bike the best i can. probably too late for high passes on this trip...might be snow.

out through Big Bend, border road, southern NM gravel, and into AZ at the border.

man, that's a long damn way out there and back.

messaged with Mike and JJ already.

They will probably suffer miserably for poor planning, training and preparation.

Maybe they should take a lot of tarmac detours.

So...

I finally got the DR running again a few months ago and have been getting ready for a four week cross country trip. I'll be heading out solo this weekend and making a somewhat counterclockwise loop hitting the Black Hills, Yellowstone, the PCH, some of the parks in Utah, the Rockies in Colorado, maybe down to Texas and then back home.

Anyway, I've been avoiding this place since it has sucked up so much of my time before I didn't want to go down that path again and my willpower is close to nonexistent I've missed you guys and I'll have to make it out to something soon.

I got a Spot (mostly to keep my mother from going completely crazy with worry) so if you want to follow along, here's the link. I'll try to post something once in a while, but I'm not taking a computer so don't count on it.

I hope everyone's doing well!

Glad to see you post up. You have been missed.
Sounds like you have a great trip planned. Post up when you can to let us know how the trip is going. Thanks for the spot link. Look forward to following you and pictures and trip report when you return. Be safe.
